For many students following the NCTB curriculum, discovering international academic competitions can be difficult. For Rafia Antara, a simple introduction from a friend opened the door to a much bigger world.
In 2025, while studying in Class 11 at RDA Lab. School and College, Bogura, Rafia Antara achieved international recognition in two different fields: astronomy and mathematics.
She earned a Gold Honor in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) 2025, placing her among the Top 2% of participants worldwide. Later that year, she secured a Silver Honor in the International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) 2025, ranking in the Top 5% worldwide.
But behind those results is a journey that began with curiosity, unfamiliar resources, and the challenge of simply finding the right opportunities.
