On August 25, 2026, the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) became a place where students did exactly that.
The NITER Innovate Hackathon 2026, organized by the NITER Computer Club, brought together 18 student teams to work on real problems from the NITER campus and different sectors. The theme was simple: “Be The Solution.”
Instead of giving students a completely abstract challenge, the hackathon focused on problems they could actually see around them.
Teams explored challenges related to campus drainage, transportation, information access, automation, student services, the RMG sector, and more. And the ideas that came out of those problems were quite diverse.
